Paragliding league of Serbia

Vrsac Open is competition in cross country discipline and it is open
competition.
Its results will be calculated for Serbian league, single and team results (4+2).
Its results will be calculated in open category as single and club/team results.
Its results will be calculated in serial and sport category if there is 6 competitors per category.
Woman and junior category are also scored separately, if they have minimum 6 competitors.

General information

Please, look at the local rules as well as FAI Rule book (section 7, class O), as this competition is FAI 2 category, which autmomatically implies all FAI rules.

Accommodation

Accomodation is provided in renew and well preserved object of Red Cross (Dom Crvenog Krsta) on Vrsacki breg. You need to confirm your accomodation by e mail on aec@scnet.rs.
Accomodation price is RSD 1400 per person, including breakfast. For any further information on Home of Red Cross you can look on www.domcrvenogkrsta.co.rs Payment of accomodation is done directly in Home of Red Cross or to organizer.

Competition office

Office will be plased in Home of Red Cross with working hours every day from
8AM to 10AM and 7PM to 10PM.

Comming to Vrsac

Vrsac is based in southeast part of Banat, remoted 80 km from Belgrade. If you are aproaching Vrsac from Belgrade side, it would be the best to look for Pancevacki most in Belgrade, cross it and follow rute Pancevo – Vrsac.
If you are approaching from interior of Serbia by highway, it would be good to take turn off at Smederevo and Kovin. When crossing Danube river and enter Kovin, one should follow road sign towards Bela Crkva and after that towards Vrsac (additional 30 km from Bela Crkva).
If you are comming from north or western Vojvodina, you should follow road for Zrenjanin and then take road from Zrenjanin over Plandiste, towards Vrsac.

You should be careful about police patros and radars!!! They are based mostly ahead of cities or smaller cities, but aso on the road before Vrsac.

Finding accomodation and start place

Accomodation and both start places are on Vrsaci breg, which you can not miss. Vrsacki breg is the highest evelation in Vojvodina and Vrsacka kula dominates over city of Vrsac.

Once you are in Vrsac, everyone will explane you how to reach Vrsacka kula or Home of Red Cross, which is based several hundreds of meters from there.

Serbian league

Registration for league can be found HERE. Teams for leage championship can be bigger then 4+2, but team leader or it’s deputy must file written confirmation before each race, who’s results will be calculated after the race (4+2).

Tasks

Races will be done mostly south from Vrsac, in direction towards Bela Crkva, or with possibility of triangles or crossing Danube towards Pozarevac, Bor or Nis.

Retransporting

Retransporting will be done from paved roads. All pilots are obliged to go to these roads and or give coordinates over radio station or phones. Changing direction after giving coordiates is not allowed and will be punished with 50 points. Each possition change must be noted. Usage of alternative transprot also has to be noted. Not answering after land off or up to certain time which is decided on brifing, will be punished under Local rules.
All expances of starting chace in case of unjustified non-call of pilot will be carried by the pilot which was looked for.
