Serbia Open Paragliding Championship 2012
PrePWC Knjazevac Open 2012 Knjazevac, Srbija 23rd -28th July 2012.
Pre Paragliding World Cup & Serbian Nationals is the Cross Country Open Championship.
The scores are given for the PrePWC & Serbian Champs in individual and teams categories.
Women and junior categories are also individualy scored if they consist of minimum 6 competitors.
General information
We kindly ask you to study the local rules , as well as, the FAI regulations (section7B, class O) since the competition is one of the FAI 2 type so that the FAI rules are implicitly accepted.
Competition will be in OPEN and SERIAL CLASS paragliders.
Accommodation
Accommodation is provided at the Hotel Timok and Student campus in Knjazevac.
It is neccessary to apply for the accommodation via e-mail aec@scnet.rs.
The accommodation price is 15 EUR per individual, and it includes bed and breakfast.
The payment is done at the building of HQ in Knjazevac.
The competition office
The HQ will be situated in Hotel Timok in Knjazevac, and it will be open every day from 7:30 to 22:00.
Arrival in Knjazevac
Knjazevac is situated some 50 km from Nis and it is in Eastern Serbia. If you come from Belgrade the easiest way to
come to Knjazevac is to drive down the highway to Nis and then to take the road for Zajecar. If you want to take a
worse road which again is a shorter one then in Paracin take the road for Zajecar. In Boljevac you can take the road
for Bucje and Knjazevac.
Finding your accommodation and starting positions
Accommodation is in Knjazevac near the centre, that is at the Hotel Timok or Student campus.
The Take Off positions are located at the mountain Tupiznica next to the TV antenna which is easy to
recognise from all directions. The road to the Tv antenna is a bituminious one, and there is a small
part of cobble road, as well.
The turning to TV antenna is between village of Bucje and Knjazevac, closer to Bucje.
Participation fee and all about the competition rules can be found in the local rules.
Tasks
Tasks will be in all directions depending on the wind direction.
It is possible to make tasks long more than 100km.
Retransportation
Retransportation will be possible only on bituminious roads. All the pilots have to go to these roads and to give
precise coordinates using a phone service or radio-receivers.
Pilots are not allowed to change their position after they give their coordinates and for that 50 points will be
taken off. Each position change must be told in advance. If one uses some other means of transportation, one should
inform organisers about it, as well.
If one does not infom organisers that he/she has landed,within the time period set at briefing, poents will be
also taken off according to the local rules.
All the costs of sercher service in the case of unjustified failure to report, will be paid by pilots.
IMPORTANT: All pilots will have live trackers for better retransportation.
